The Topco/Shurfine Advantage

Affiliated leverages economic advantage on store brands by procuring collectively through the Topco organization. Through this organization, Affiliated, along with other members such as Schnuck Markets, Hy-Vee, Giant Eagle, Fresh Brands and other members consolidate purchasing power to procure goods as the second largest company in the industry.


The Topco relationship allows Affiliated to retain local market expertise, yet maintain the advantage of procuring on a national level with high-volume negotiating power. Components such as packaging, design, label management, quality assurance and effective promotional spending are all guided by Topco’s expertise and depth.
