Message From The President
Our cooperative's unique business model provides our member/owners with six unique privileges of ownership. We make decisions based on the long-term success of our member retailers and the cooperative as a whole. These privileges include Nurturing Growth, Tailoring Support, Sharing Profits, Stewarding Resources, Personalizing Service, and Listening to Owners.
Our long-term focus is return on investment, so we are continually enhancing programs, our efficiency, and engaging in partnerships to leverage our buying power. Despite challenges in our competitive environment, Affiliated Foods Midwest and our members experienced another record year of growth in fiscal year 2007-2008. Grounded in the belief that our business model is the most flexible and beneficial umbrella for independent grocers today, we continually seek opportunities to flourish.
